Sterling received a Bachelor of Arts in English from Utah Valley University in 2011. After working for several years in marketing, he started to gain an interest in personal finance. His research into this topic,along with conversations with the people around him, made him realize that the world needs great financial advice. This led him to change careers, and he obtained a Master of Science in Personal Financial Planning from Texas Tech University in 2017.
